The county seat is San Bernardino. Father Francisco Dumetz named the County on May 20, 1810, the feast day of St. Bernardino of Siena. Twin Peaks is an unincorporated community in San Bernardino County, CA, located on California State Route 189, 2.5 miles west-southwest of Lake Arrowhead. The town was originally settled in the 1860’s as a strawberry farm and was first known as Strawberry Flat.
