According to the Assessor, the 2020 taxes of $236.44 have not been paid. The total past due tax amount is approx. $1,981.06 good through 2-28-21 (includes 2016 through 2020 taxes). Angel Fire Resort began in 1966 as a small ski destination in Northern New Mexico. The present day Colfax County Courthouse was built in 1936 in Raton, New Mexico, which is the County seat.The original seat was the gold mining town of Elizabethtown. The county was named for Schuyler Colfax, who was 17th vice-president under U. S. President, Ulysses S. Grant.
