DESCRIPTION OF ITEM
This listing is for a limited edition print by the famous artists Rick Sternbach and Andy Probert. This print is titled “Ready Room”. It is signed by the artists, “Rick Sternbach” and “Andy Probert” and is numbered as 1718/1950. The print (16 1/2″ x 36 1/2″) is matted and framed and measures 26″ x 46 1/2″. The print and the frame appear to be in excellent condition. We do not have the COA for the item.
About the Artist: Rick Sternbach has been a space and science fiction artist since the early 1970’s, often combining both interests in a project. Rick also twice received the coveted Hugo award for best preofessional science fiction artist, in 1977 and 1978. Rick was one of the first employees hired to update the Trek universe and he also has a background in film and television illustration and special effects. Andrew Probert was best known for designing the USS Enterprise for Star Trek: The Motion Picture and the Enterprise-D for Star Trek: The Next Generation. After spending time in the United States Navy, he studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. In 1987, he was hired by Robert Abel and Associates to work on Star Trek: The Motion Picture”.
