It is signed by the artist, “Leroy Neiman” and is numbered as H.C. 206/225. This is an original limited edition serigraph: 375 numbered impressions, 100 artist proofs, 18 printer’s proofs and 225 hors commerce. The serigraph (43″ x 48″) is framed and measures 48″ x 53″.  The serigraph and the frame appear to be in excellent condition (there are a few minor scratches on the top of the frame). Leroy Neiman depicts many famous people in the serigraph, including Himself, Humphrey Bogart & Lauren Bacall, Truman Capote & Shelley Winters to name a few. 

About the Artist:  Leroy Neiman is considered one of the most famous impressionistic artists since the 1970s and his work is Internationally known and collected. Leroy Neiman was born on June 8, 1921 in St. Paul, MN. According to Mr. Neiman, he “sketched all the time and he drew what he saw”. He recently passed away on June 20, 2012.

Originally part of El Paso County, 3,815 square miles was split off and organized in 1911 to become Culberson County. Van Horn became the County Seat in 1912. Terrain in the County ranges from flat to mountainous. Like many towns throughout the West, Van Horn was established when the need for a constant supply of water became necessary for the military and pioneers. Van Horn lies midway between San Antonio and Phoenix and makes for a great stopping off point when traveling between these points.
