13.593 Acres of Vacant Land in Catron County, NM. Legal: Lot 25 in Elk Ridge Subdivision. The only Site address is Cedar Drive. Parcel number: 2074007315219, Owner #9711. According to the Assessor’s Office (575) 533-6577, the nearest cities to the parcel are Pietown & Magdalena. This is a buildable lot with electricity nearby. There is a house on Lot 28 which has an address of 63 Cedar Drive Pietown, NM 87827. Elk Ridge Ltd., Co. has grazing privileges on the property which may be extinguished at any time by fencing the perimeter of the parcel. The 2014 taxes of $94.28 have not been paid. The past due amount good until 1/31/15 is approx. $100. Elk Ridge has a Landowners Association (LOA), though we were unable to find out any information about Elk Ridge LOA. According to Sunwest Trust, the mortgage was paid off on 3/30/09. The picture below is of the general area in Catron County not of this particular parcel.

Catron County is named after the famous attorney and Santa Fe political leader, Thomas B. Catron. The Apache and Gila National Forests border one another in this area; the two forests combined cover much of Catron County. There is good trout fishing and big game hunting in Catron County. Elk are abundant in the area, though the area also contains deer, bear, big horn sheep, mountain lions and wild turkey.  The County seat is located in Reserve, NM.
